Hi everyone, never done anything like this before so I don’t really know what I’m doing! But here goes.
I am 70+yrs old, sewn all my life, just everyday sewing.
Have just finished 2 le hoodie sweatshirt without hood plus 2 Freyr tops.
Have tried the Drew but somehow fitting seems to be all wrong on me.
My task this year is to make comfortable good fitting trousers.
How am I doing? Is this right?

However, I don't know any of the patterns you mention - can I suggest that you add a link, or the maker? Maybe some others know them.
If you care to post a picture of you in the badly fitting garment, people can offer ideas about altering it. However, my own experience is that sometimes things are just all wrong and you have to abandon them! I always make a toile in calico or old sheets so I can mark alterations.

I'm not a fan of the shape of the Drew personally - lots of people love it! But it's just doesn't look right on me at all!
Hi Janet!! Nice to meet you. I am only a quilter. I am wanting to learn how to make clothes. Do you use a serger or a regular sewing machine? Love any tips you might have on anything to start learning to make clothes! My daughters both want me to make them this dress, I have the fabric and have tried for over a year on just on the top but it seems I can't get it right. Any suggestions on these curves? You would think I would have learned curves but I have not lol.
