If you are somewhere in the world that is in the grips of a heatwave have you managed to get any sewing done this week?

Heatwave sewing?

Absolutely not, house is like a furnace, fabric is too hot, threads stick to me 53%
I’ve sweated it out, anything for a few minutes with my machine 7%
Early morning/late night/shady garden sewing 20%
Air Con baby!!! Sewing like a dream 20%

I’m amazed I’ve achieved anything this week, sewing hasn’t happened at all… as soon as we can we will be getting an air con unit!!

I’ve been ill with a virus that has aggravated my asthma (which is why I missed Saturday’s sew social 😟). Nevertheless, I have managed a couple of hours sewing on a better day, but I live in the NE. It’s been very hot, but nowhere near as bad as in the South. Our house isn’t too bad in the heat and my sewing room is okay with a fan.

I have air con units (one downstairs and one upstairs) but I wasn't able to sew. I have to stay calm and quiet because of heart and breathing troubles. I'm knitting socks instead. I"ve looked what to sew next, print pdf's, take a deep dive into my pattern librabry, etc.

No air con but this little fan sat in my sewing machine has been very helpful this week
