I have a Britannia overlocker and it is amazing. I actually gave in, well plucked up courage, and used the blind hem foot that overlocked and blind stitched the hem all in one go. Now I wonder why I was scared to try it
Overlocker

I have a brother M343D, bought it in 2018 and it now has a cracked frame, can't justify upgrading because it still does perfect stitches. Even though it does this....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY90E02upWs
I had to stop the video because the vibrations were increasing to the point where it was going to take a flying leap off the table. Every day for 6 years I've wished I invested just £20 more for the next model up.

I have the brother 3034DWT and I love it! My favourite thing is a pattern I can sew up entirely on Otis!

This is so useful to know! I'm looking to buy my first overlocker at the Stitch Festival in March as Brother tend to do great deals during the show. I was looking at the 2104D machine but seeing Kelly's post about the 3034DWT I'm off to research that one too!

Beccie the beauty of buying from the stitch festival is getting to try them out before making a decision.
I have only used this one. I think I would probably love any overlocker because they are a complete game changer.
Although my one frustration is that it struggles with bulky makes.
I have a Juki DX7 which I love. I received from my partner last christmas and I love it.I did have a brother machine to start off with , to learn on. then I upgraded to another brother, which I still have. Then my Juki appeared. LOL. Last month I treated myself to an overlocker which is a Brother 2104D. I did go into the shop for a lesson first and it does what it needs to do and I like it. Im still getting used to threading it though. I would have liked an air threader but sadly my pennies dont reach that far. I am happy with it and thats all that matters.

I can't wait to test drive them at the stitch festival in March. I've also booked on the overlocker workshop. I feel like overlocking is going to change my life 🤣🤣 Not to be dramatic or anything!!!!!

Oh no that's not being dramatic, it will change your life! 🍾🍾🍾
I have a singer differential feed overlocker, had it for 25 years. Would like to upgrade but so many on market I wouldn't know where to start.

😍

I spoke with Sew Devine today as they are my nearest shop. They are the Brother authorised dealer at the Stitch Festival. He told me that the 2104d and 3034DWT are the same you just get the trim trap and extra table with the latter. I think he said it will be £329 show price + bag worth £30. the 423 will be £479

Omg Emma 🥰 thank you so much for this info. I can't tell you how grateful I am! I emailed Brother as I couldn't remember who the SF authorised partner/dealer is and they said they couldn't tell me anything 🤣 And understanding the differences between the two models is super helpful. Thanks so much. I've got a weekend of revision and study ahead of an exam for work on Tuesday. All that's getting me through this past week and next 4 days is SF on Thursday 🤗

The guys at Sew Devine are lovely. Just give them a call if you want to chat before the show. I bought my machine from them at Knitting and Stitching and it arrived so fast.
