Pegboard storage

I thought it might be helpful to share my pegboard storage set up. it was a whole new world for me, but I am really happy with progress so far. just a couple of extra bits to get and maybe shuffle things a bit.

The pegboard and most of the accessories are from Ikea - Skadis range. I decided not to buy a combination and so bought the peg boards (56x56 & 76x56), hooks, containers, shelves, clips from Ikea separately.

The thread storage is from Amazon - "Thread Storage for Skadis system".

Thank you. The rest of the room likes a bonb has hit. A friend who teaches in a fabric shop has brought bolt boards for me - so the next task is to put fabric on boards, log on stash hub and start planning some projects. for tonight I just need to find my work desk and find space on the floor to move chair ready for tomorrow. hubby away all week so I will hopefully have a clear run at it, before he's back next Sunday 😀

Oh wow, Nikki; that looks so amazingly tidy 👏🏻! I'm jealous of your dedicated space!

May I ask if that's a "daylight" light behind your sewing machine? Is it any good? I've often had to sew (or unpick!) black on black which is a nightmare in artificial light 😩!

It's just an LED light from Amazon. I've put the link below - it goes quite bright as there are different settings, but not sure about if it's a daylight lamp.

I love the different types of "white light" and the dimmer settings and it's just perfect for my needs!

Thank you. I love it - have rejigged things today to improve it's use for me. I moved the shelves to the bottom as I use those a lot, plus tHe scissors were driving me mad falling off/down behind my radiator- so most old ones are out of the way and I just have access to most used ones.

Love this thread, thank you! I was very lucky and managed to get a board and several storage bits (clips, hooks, long trays, short boxes) on our local free cycle page!

Got it up byt haven't yet had chance to play around with the set up to work out what is the best way to have it all.

Fabulous. I love mine - I've shuffled bits around to make it easier to get to the items I use more. I bought some thread holders from CLC prints at the stitch festival which are great - keeping thread and bobbin together and easily accessible 👍
