Hello All,
Does anyone know of a harem pant pattern that's size inclusive to plus size? I love the relaxed ones you can get from Yours, but want to make them myself but have only seen the ones with the very baggy crotch and I'm not keen on that look for my shape.
I can't think of a pattern off the top of my head and haven't seen anything on the fold line. The only thing that comes to mind that is similar is the Leo Dungarees from By Hand London as the trousers have the right sort of shape.

Simple Sew used to have a pattern but it looks like they don't do it any more
Ohh they look so comfy don't they. Thanks for thinking for me. I have seen the Style Arc Palermo knit pant, they look pretty good too but the crotch looked a little big, although I've just read some reviews to say it's not that baggy when you make them up. So that could be a good shout!

Have you found any Victoria? I have been making this Sandra BetzSanina pattern for about 20 years - out of print, but found this on Etsy. I can't share mine - the tissue has been messed about so much over the years (sorry, I didn't make my proper brown paper pattern properly before cutting!). Not sure if you'd be willing to risk this price. It definitely doesn't bag at the crotch. The 'frilly' ankle bit is odd - I've never made it - you can just gather the ankles. But my favourite is the one that you hitch up at the side - it just suits me. Last year, I wa stopped at a festival by a young couple to ask where I bought my trousers, and then - would I make some for them? I'm in my 70s!
Hi Victoria, I know this is an old thread now but I've just seen these pop up on Wardrobe By Me, the Bubble Pants. They look fantastic, my hips are larger than the body measurements but there's so much ease in the finished measurements because of the style.

There is also a lovely ladies Harem pants pattern from Pattern Emporium too
Thank you Louise, these are actually perfect and exactly what I’m looking for. But only go to a size 18. My hip is a 60inch, so much bigger.
I'm so surprised by that as most of their patterns are much more size inclusive!
That's a shame as Pattern Emporium size range is usually very good.
Thank you, Hayley. I never did find a pair. I bought the Chanterelle Pants pattern and have some lovely khaki linen to make view B (I think). You are right, these ones you’ve shared wouldn’t fit me either in the hip, but would with the ease.

I sewed them up today. I just have to finish them (elastic waistband and ankle cuffs). The pattern looks hugely voluminous, so I went down two sizes on the legs and hips, one size on the waistband. They are looking right at this stage. Will you be at tomorrow’s sewing social> I could show you then.
Oooh… this pattern company was chatted about in this mornings social and they have this slightly different style of pant… again it’s a shame this pattern isn’t as size inclusive as her others but… I’m intrigued!!

I am very interested in these, they look lovely. I too, am too big for these.
I'm tempted to try because:
It is not too expensive
There looks to be loads of ease to help with sizing up
I am cautious because:
A designer who normally sizes up must have a good reason for keeping this pattern in a narrower range. This might be because:
The 'twisted' side seam?
The sheer volume of fabric?
Would it be reasonable to ask her?

I am definitely giving these a try, but have to get all the grandparent holiday duty out of the way first! (not that I don't love it!)

The Casablanca Palazzo Pants are one of my oldest patterns and I’m a bit behind on updating them to the new size range but your email Is a good reminder that this needs to be bumped up my to do list.
However on top of my to do list right now is to give birth
(my baby is already a week overdue) so I am not sure when, realistically, I will be able to have that update done.
I will be halving the price of the pattern and mention that it is outdated and in need of a revision.
If you do want to give it a go and size up on your own what I suggest would be to only adapt the front waistband (add a couple of centimeters on each side) as well as the front legs. The back has a lot of ease and the back waistband is elastic so no need to make any adjustments there. Technically you don’t even have to change the front legs because they also have a lot of ease and are gathered at the waistband.
Let me know your thoughts. I will put the pattern on sale this afternoon!
