I know we're in Feb now, but during my 1st sewing social I managed to almost complete an adorable puffed sleeved cardigan - a free pattern from Unfettered Patterns. It's my 1st make of 2025.
Instead of short sleeves that the pattern called for, I lengthened them. It's so cold in the northern part of New York at the moment. The fabric, surprisingly, is a super soft knit. It's not really a color I wear but had it in my stash. It was going to be my toile but I love the fabric now it's made up. I'm sure many of you can relate!

Thank you so much Hayley! I had a lot of fun during yesterday's sewcial. I think people are getting more comfortable with one another with each additional session they attend. And to have 2 hours of sewing and commeraderie where no one in my house is allowed to ask me for anything is such a treat!

Looks fantastic he is a lucky man. You can see a lot of love and attention to detail has gone into your make. The pattern matching is superb.👌

I'm with you on the checks, Val! My husband not ony loves them, he likes to choose patterns that aren't symetrical or the same throughout. So pattern matching is a nightmare. I don't let him pick out his own fabrics anymore, haha. Your partner looks so pleased! Great job.
