Buttonholes & zips! And jeans. And to improve my finishing. My seams are always a mess but I can no longer use the beginner excuse for those.

Share one sewing goal you'd like to achieve next year - a certain technique or type of pattern you haven't tried yet. For me... it's a coat! Although it's been my goal for the last two years, maybe 2025 will be the one!

I don't own an overlocker and can't afford one for the forseable future.  My sewing mch does have an overlocking stitch but it's not perfect on fabrics that fray a lot so, I'd like to master French seams

Invisible zips are my nemesis-the two sides never match up😬. And v-necks are a challenge too.

Once you've sewn in the 1st side close the zip and mark on the unsewn side where the waist seam is, undo the zip, pin, tack and sew the 2nd side making sure your mark lines up. I hope that makes sense?
