I'm looking to sew a Hayley dress from Sew Over It.
But I have to iron my fabric and, as you say, it's hot here in Belgium.

That is a lovely dress. I am finding my Holmes dress very comfortable in the heat.
But at home, my south facing sewing room, so lovely for 90 per cent of the time, is not a good place to be when we get a heatwave.

Holmes is on my list with double gauze but I've never sewn a Helen's closet pattern. I'll have to sew a toile before.
My sewing space is in a veranda and I have the chance that there is an air conditioner.

It looks really nice, and you can choose not to iron double gauze, which is a plus I. This weather.
I like to sew helen's closer patterns (Winslow and Gilbert are a favorite, and just finished a Jackson tee). It's very personal, but for me they require very little fit adjustments

The main adjustments I have to do are for my forward shoulders and rounded back. I also have to check my size, I'm exactly in the middle of two for my bust. I think I will start with an Ashton for the toile. And everything is ready to cut Nelson pants. Just need the mood to pick up my cutting table

I lived in the tropics for 30 years and even though I now live in a much cooler area in Australia, we still have 40 degree plus days in summer. The strongest advice I can offer is to not wear any synthetic fabrics. They don't breathe, no matter what they might claim. Stick to cotton or linen.
