I hope I am in the right forum but I have a 70's Singer machine where the gear on the verticle shaft is stripped.
Looking, I don't see any set screw to loosen. If I am seeing correctly, how am I supposed to remove the gear being it doesn't have the front panel to remove? Remove the whole horizontal shaft???
