Crochet Cardigan

Hello, I am much better at crochet than knit. I have made a lot of things over the years, and a few years ago tackled a cardigan.

I did a 'toile' in acrylic, and thought I could correct the fitting in the finished article, but it was worse! I used West Yorkshire Spinners DK, and it is too expensive and lovely to waste.

So I am going to unravel and re-make. I think that a 'boxy' shape (the previous one was 'curvy') or even kimon-style would enable me to correct as I go. This one uses granny squares, which I thought might be useful, or WYS own pattern.

If I get something that makes me feel happy, evenb just wearing it about the house, I'll be OK, but the one I have, is just all wrong!

Any advice would be very welcome - thank you!

Both of those patterns look lovely, apologies I have no advice on this as I can barely crochet at all, but definitely don't waste that lovely yarn!

Both patterns look lovely. I made a top with granny squares, some years ago, which worked well, using some ‘plain’ crochet rows between some squares where I wanted a bit more shaping.

Thanks, that is what I think I will do, but it will be time-consuming!
