I'm planning to remake a Tilly and the Buttons Mabel - I made this one in a double gauze which looks lovely but I never wore it (in fact I gave it away) because it was too short and I didn't like the shorter sleeves. So next time I'll go for the longer sleeves and will lengthen the peplum.

I am very slooowly making a Tammy Handmade Faye blouse in an almost burgundy double gauze with gold specks throughout. It’s my first time using double gauze and I love it. I’m hoping to have it finished soon or I’ll be wearing an autumn colour in summer 🤣 I will be making the V line neck version, haven’t decided whether to scallop the neckline, looks amazing but perhaps not if I do it! 🤣

That's a lovely blouse, and yes I love double gauze too! I think both V and scallop options are beautiful so either way it'll turn out great

I finished up my Reyna from Fibre Mood today. Enjoying the happy spring fabric and floaty style. Can’t wait to see everyone’s makes!

In april I have three blouses planned. Sanna by Fibre Mood, Malibu by Maison Fauve and hopefully Claudia Western from Closet Core. Let’s see how the month goes!

Happy sewing to you all!

I'm not sure yet which pattern of these two that I'm going to make a blouse with the beautiful viscose from Think Pink box from March. Either Simplicity 9715 or New Look 6555. I've made both several times.

I made up the Madswick Rosamund blouse that I got free from The Fold Line over Christmas. Different one for me but I quite like the huge collar!

It’s lovely Han. Super big collars haven’t been for me in the past, but I have come around to them and have ordered both the Bakerloo blouse and the Playtime Blouse patterns, with fabric allocated for them.

I recently made a Jenna shirt, but decided not to add the collar, and omitted the sleeve placket for a softer look.

Lost my sewjo for a bit but made a Donny shirt today by Friday Pattern Company. Made it 2 tone as didn't have enough purple fabric.

I decided to take part in the challenge this year for the first time. I was in the process of planning a Rhapsody Blouse by Love Notions, so that was the one I entered.

I did alter it slightly by adding a neck tie instead of the bias binding. In doing that, I also had to add a self-drafted facing around the front split and neckline. I shamelessly copied Karina of Lifting Pins and Needles, as she did that some time ago.

This is a departure for me in that I used an animal print fabric, which is not normally my go-to choice of fabric. I'm also not really into neck ties and other fancy additions, so I went a little out of my comfort zone, but overall I am very happy with it. The fabric is called Nairobi and it is from Sherwood's Fabrics.

Sorry I've been a bit absent lately - my sister passed away a couple of months ago and I have been dealing with being an executor and having to argue with a certain financial institution for the past few weeks. All is settling down a bit now, so I have also booked onto a couple of socials coming up. Hopefully getting back to normality at last!

Oh Diane I'm so sorry to hear that, sending lots of love to you and your family. That's a lot to deal with, especially when grieving too.

Your blouse looks gorgeous, it really suits you and the tie is very subtle so I think it's the perfect touch

Thank you Haley. It has been a bit of a roller coaster the last few weeks.

I do quite like the changes I made to the Rhapsody, and look forward to wearing it out in the wild soon.
