Looking For A Pattern…..

Hi, I have been asked by my husband to make him some shorts for our holidays next month, i have the fabric (navy blue cotton jersey) i just cannot find a pattern, i just want a basic pattern, elastic or drawstring waist, pockets, something straightforward, any ideas pls?

I hope someone who has more experience than I do, will turn up. I was just looking at Helen's Closet before coming over here, and saw these sweatpants.

I think they would shorten well - you could maybe ask Helen? I like her patterns, but haven't done these.

I bought an online pdf pattern for sweatpants/shorts and made the shorts from french Terry (I couldn't get cotton jersey at the time) for my son. They came out brilliantly. He was really pleased. The pattern was I Am Mowgli. Really recommend it. I'm about to start sweatpants for him in classic sweatshirt fabric.
