Not A Good Top For Me :(

I finished the Ehola top today, and fixed the neckline, sadly the round neck doesn't suit me and the striped T-shirt I had on I thought was a scoop neck turns out to be the same as my print one, it's the fabric that isn't me....

Oh well, onto the next make, Pietra shorts and a Byron top from style arc coord set.

Any chance you could turn the neckline into V? Or add contrasting neckband or some kind of detail?

Hey Agata, yes, there is a v neck option, I made one of those and I may do another, v-neck binding seem to be my nemesis on knits. I do need to get over it by just doing more, lol

It's a lovely colour on you, and the neck looks right. I would definitely give it a wash and a few wears to see how it settles - if not then it will look great under an open shirt / jacket (where many of my Tshirt makes have ended up!)

Jane I really love that neckline on you! It looks really lovely, open but not revealing and sits beautifully. The colour is gorgeous too.

Maybe the photos look different to real life but I think it looks fab

Jane this looks lovely and the colour and neckline suit you . Hopefully it will grow on you but I know what you mean when you’re not totally happy with something you’ve sewn. I feel like I’ve failed somewhere along the way, whether it’s the fabric and pattern pairing, the construction or just the combination of me, pattern and fabric

Love the colour on you Jane and think you’ve done a great job with the make. It’s nice to see a different neckline in a t shirt and you’ve fitted the neck band beautifully. I suspect you’ll get a lot of wear out of this once you get used the differences in it! I think we get so used to seeing ourselves in a particular style or silhouette, it’s difficult to really ‘see’ when we first try something different!

Thank you Donnie, I am starting to like it more. I haven't posted anything in a bit, I was away for three days, so hopefully manage my 2 posts this week.
