Hi Mandie, Thanks for your reply. I've started to make a list of exhibitors I want to see. I'm going on the Friday which has Patrick Grant on the stitch stage so I'm sure that will be packed out.

I do think that the 'overcast' stitches on the Janome are really very good for seam finishing, but of course they aren't as good as an overlocker.

Glad you got it sorted. I do recommend Project & Cut still though - think this is a classic case of ChatGPT hallucinating again (I love ChatGPT, use it a lot, but it does get things wrong). The distortion doesn't matter, you will get a large...

Thank you Hayley :) The webbing is from Etsy, hardware from purple stitches! I used what I had left (zip and denim) from my first Aspen dress so I have a bag to match my dress, thought the splatter webbing was a fun touch!

Its looking good so far, are the sleeves tight around the bicep, the armhole or is it coming from across your shoulders?

As far as I'm aware I haven't ever come across a sewing machine and overlocker! You can use an overcast stitch on a regular sewing machine which finishes the seams (not as thoroughly as an overlocker) Some retailers will offer deals on sewing...

It's often difficult to answer this, as a home sewer, because you know your own machine, maybe a bit about a fellow sewist's machine, and maybe you've used one on a course. I would often in the past, recomenmd going to a really big sewing machine...
