As you are coming back around to the beginning, so this is where we started and we folded over the first couple of centimetres. This is the bit that I'm sewing still to attach, so I'm gonna chop it off just inside where I have folded over the beginning of the bias binding. So then we're going to sew all the way up to the end of the bias tape. You just want to make sure that the creases are lining up. So this crease where you're about to finish sewing lines up with the crease where you started sewing.

Alright, so this is what it currently looks like from the outside. This is how it looks on the inside of the hem. What we're going to do first is we're going to press the bias binding up, and you want to make sure you give that a really good press, make sure that is nice and tight as you press it. So get your hot iron, and you're keeping the folds of the bias binding intact. You're not opening them up in any way at all. You're keeping them completely folded over.

So press this all the way around the hem. As we come up to the section of the bias binding where we have a join. What we want to do to finish it off, we're going to open up this one to the left. So this is where we've got the folded over bit that we sewed at the very beginning.

This bit coming in from the right has been stitched all the way to the very edge of the tape. What we want to do with this folded over bit, open it up, and you can see you'll see how obviously, where it's been folded towards the inside of the tape, it's going the wrong way here so we want to just make a new crease there open this bit out and we're gonna fold this bit over on top of the bit coming from the right pull it down and press as you were you can see now that we haven't got any raw edges all those raw edges are really beautifully enclosed on the inside of the bias binding.

So, what we want to do now is we want to flip the whole thing over to the inside, and we are going to press again.

So this time we're going to press the whole of the bias binding up towards the inside of the garment, and you want to fold it over so that you've got just a couple of millimeters of the main fabric on the inside of the garment. So you don't want it so that the bias binding is right on the edge like that because you run the risk of it peeking out from the outside. So you just need to leave a couple of millimeters, millimeter or two overhang.

So we're going to press all the way round again So at this point, I'm gonna put a pin in just where this join is because otherwise, if I don't pin it and I'm pressing all the way around, it's really likely this bit's gonna want to sort of flip out like that, so I want to make sure that that is tucked to the inside, and I'm just gonna put a pin in there to keep it in place. And then carry on pressing all the way around the wrist.
