Mmm 26

May 1st

An old Vogue t-shirt pattern with fabric from the jersey lady, Birmingham rag market, many years ago. My adapted Jalie jeans and a Mandela pouch from Kreative Kiwi. Not seen are my hand knitted socks!

I love the pouch. Is it attached to your jeans?

I have put a loop on the back of the pouch so my belt goes through it.

Sunday May 3rd

Old clothes today. Itch to Stitch Mountain View jeans, much worn and so very comfortable. Blouse is New Look 6394. This is a wearable toile and needs a few tweaks for a better fit but is OK for around the house.

Monday May 4th

I'm looking a bit crumpled today but that's life. This is my pub going outfit so no need to dress up.

Adapted Jalie jeans again, blue and white striped shirt from an old Octobre Women's magazine and waistcoat made from recycled jeans from an ancient Butterick pattern 6714. The embroidery on the waistcoat was all done by me and the pockets are from jeans as well. I have several of these waistcoats as they were my 'uniform' when I was a pub landlady. Different patches and embroidery obviously.

This is great! I have made one 'weskit' for my husband, from some gorgeous Thai silk. He thinks that's all he needs for life! I haven't attempted one for me yet, but you have made me think.

Enjoy your pub!

Tuesday 5th May

A working day today so I'm showcasing my extremely well worn apron made from a denim off cut. The pattern was taken from an apron I had bought. It looks extremely grubby but that is where the denim has worn over my stomach - honest!! Another of my embroideries on the bib.

T-shirt is an old Butterick twist front.

That happens to me, and I have to put patches over the worn fabric! Looks good!

Wednesday May 6th

Post pub lunch beer belly photo! The ubiquitous adapted Jalie jeans (my daily go to and I have several pairs), The top is McCalls 8240 which is a favourite top of mine and I think I've made it about 14 times. This version is in cotton jersey from Pound Fabrics. The jacket is a jeans jacket McCalls 7729 but I adapted it to have two top front pockets. Turquoise cord is from Bernie the Bolt at the Medieval fair last year (You have to be a certain age to laugh at the name of his stall!!) And not seen but definitely worn are my brand new socks which I finished knitting on Monday.

Thursday 7th May

A late crumpled effort tonight. The shirt could do with an iron as well...

The top is McCalls 8240 which I have made numerous times. This is a Pound fabric cotton jersey. My phone pouch is a self made pattern sewn with old jeans denim, with a beer bottle applique on the flap and My Little Pony lining - must be about 10 years old now so well worn and battered. Ubiquitous adapted Jalie jeans.

Saturday 9th May

These are one of the first pairs of my adapted Jalie jeans before I got the fit right. They're wearable but not my favourite. The shirt is Simplicity 2339 which I have made several times.
