Waiting for fabric and pattern to arrive to make the Fleur blouse from Fabric Godmother. Pattern and voucher were Christmas presents. Also need to make a memory bear out of baby clothes.

I love the idea of a memory bear, so sweet! Look forward to seeing the Fleur blouse!

I've had a bra making kit sitting in my stash for over a year and a half, so I'd definitely like to have a go at making a bra in 2025!

That's definitley something I'd like to try one day!

Whilst there are garments I know I want to make I find the idea of a make nine too overwhelming but love to read about other sewists ideas this gives me inspiration

I absolutely get that! I think I've only attempted it once :-D

I have a quilt to sort out- I've already sewed it up, but the binding didn't catch properly in the odd place, so it 'failed' the test wash because the batting is peeking through at certain points. As a result, I need to fix this before sending it to the intended recipient!

Hope everyone is enjoying their New Year so far.

Oh no!! Hope it's an easy fix!

Making clothes using a pattern terrifies me. Even a basic pair of trousers scares me. I make tote bags, cushions, bunting etc but I really want to use this year to start making my own clothes

I hope we can inspire and give you the confidence to have a go - I always recommend a simple pair of pj bottoms like Tilly and the Buttons Jamies - they are a great first pattern and don't take any fitting - you only really need your hip measurement as the elastic will pull in the waist.
