What you need there is a stiletto awl, you line both sides up, basting or pinning if you are nervous, then stab through both sides at once. The holes you make are the starter holes for the snaps :)

Team printed and trace here. Even the big 5. I try and keep my traced patterns, but i sometimes lose them. I use medical paper to trace. Amazon sells it in boxes of bolts.

I’m not sure it I did the right thing but it did work. It appeared like the lining was too tight so was pulling on the outer fabric making it curl. By folding up the hem a bit more, the lining wasn’t as tight so it wasn’t pulling.
