Tammy Handmade - Lila Panties

Hi everyone! Has anyone made the Tammy Handmade Lila Panties? I was wondering how true to size they are. Compared to what I normally wear in shop bought items, the sizing of the pattern pieces are on the big side (like almost double!) Also, do you...

The holly dress/jumper by sew over it has waist definition and fairly quick make. I try to avoid jeans because they make you feel colder unless you got thermals under them x

So you make the pattern using your own measurements and their guide tape. It doesn't have seam allowances once completed.

Oh, gosh. I think these are about the fourth time I've made this pattern but I also made others before hand and imported things I liked from those patterns onto this one. I have over time 'perfected' my back crotch curve and now have that in...

I've never seen this before, I'm not sure I fully understand. Did the pattern not come with seam allowance? So the pattern pieces you've traced onto muslin, is this for a toile?

Woven fusible interfacing

I mostly use the stretchable knit interfacing. When I did use non-stretch I would sometimes hover a high steam iron over the pieces to see if it shrunk before adhering it properly. I buy Pellon by the bolt and haven't had a lot of problems with it.

I cut out my pieces onto muslin with a wide border. Then I traced my markings with a light box and markers. The lines are the actual seam lines. Since they're vividly marked I don't need to establish a firm seam allowance. I just sew along the...

The Marlo is oversized - the finished garment measurements are really helpful when choosing which size to make. I think I sized down two sizes, but I don't tend to button it up. I think if I was going to button it up I would size down one size 🙂

I agree with Hayley - I love dresses and a Marlo cardi. The Marlo is great with a pinafore dress or a skirt too. I prefer the longer length Marlo as it's extra snuggly!
