Sandwiched a small piece of fabric behind the hole with a piece of interfacing and zigzagged around the edge. It's not perfect but it'll be hidden by the collar and it's saved.

Noooo!!!! I was trimming the seam allowance around the neckline - we have the main body, collar and facing in the seam allowance so a lot of fabric to cut! And the body must have got caught as I was cutting!  Luckily it will be under the collar...

I made another pair of jeans. The original pattern was a Jalie one but I've altered it and adapted it so much that it is now a hybrid of my fittings and Jalie's base. When I first finished them I didn't like them but after wearing them and...

Well this is the first time I have ever done this. My Alexa blouse was, I thought, coming along nicely. My nemesis, collars, went in first time. I top stitched the yokes and did a type of flat felled seam on the sides. I thought I would just try...

These look amazing Alma!! So much fun. Yes I think you're right about them being cropped - I'm 5'7" and I wish I'd lenghtened them as they swing around my ankles and came out very wide on me because of my hip size

I recently finished a heavy canvas coat in a bright red color and I love it! The fabric is a 10oz I purchased from Nick of Time Textiles, and the pattern used is Emily Lightly's Marzipan Maker's Coat. I chose the mid length view for this version....

Soooo happy with the fit on these! I just graded from a size 8 at the waist to a size 10 at the hips and they fit just right. A note on the length, the pattern is meant to be a little bit cropped. I'm 5'5", I think Helen drafts for a 5'6" height...

All of these options are great, the only one I've never worked with is the bamboo poplin so I couldn't give any recommendations on that!  They are all lovely, I have a YouTube video on working with satin which used the fabric godmother one.

Ruthy, you can also pre-shrink fusible interfacing by hovering a steam iron over the interfacing. Obviously make sure it doesn't touch it or you'll have a sticky mess. If you look carefully you can see it shrink fractionally. Also another tip I was...
