MMM 18th May A day at my desk looms. A canyon top over a jersey camisole (rtw) and some baggy but comfortable jeans. Love the neatness of the Canyon pattern. Not quite so keen on busy floral fabrics! This was made from a remnant as a wearable...

I managed to bin most of my large scraps today and I have sold a pattern 💪 It’s a start. I haven’t found any fabric (beyond scraps) that I can bear to destash because I either love them, or they will work for practice garments. It’s a start.

Thank you! I’m probably advanced, sewing mainly with knits. I struggle with woven and getting the fit. I can help others get the fit better on them but for some reason I drop my brain when I sew for myself. I will look into your suggestions!

It may be coming. I've de-stashed fabric twice before. Each time I gave the full garbage bag to my husband (I don't have FaceBook or Craigslist). I let him list them for free with whatever description he felt was appropriate. Each time I...

Last year, I made a bathing suit I absolutely love. I feel cute in it, I feel confident and it’s really comfortable. The top is the Marblehead Tankini by Cashmerette and the bottoms are the Clearwater by Love Notions.

I've just donated lots of fabric to Remade in Worcester. I've also sorted fabric and threads to go to the textile department at my granddaughter's school. Still a lot to go but I feel so much better for having it out of the house.

I've made the Cottesloe by Megan Nielsen three times. It has pattern pieces for a one piece or two piece costume. I have enough leftover fabric to make a two piece.

I had a destash last year. I took several patterns and fabric to my sewing group and what was left I took to a swap at a sewing retreat I attended. It was great to get things I didn't want out of my sewing room.
