Hi, I have purchased a new sewing machine and am looking to sell my old one, is there anywhere on this forum that I could advertise it for sale? Is that allowed? My apologies if I'm not able to! Would anybody be able to direct me to where I could...

Hi, My name is Lara. I'm from the Netherlands, and I really enjoy learning how to sew. I attend sewing lessons once a week. And for the past year I hardly could find time to sew at home. This year I would like to sew more at home. So far I made 3...

It may take a village to raise a child but it takes a Sunday Social Sewing group to make a Bestie Bag. This was my first attempt at bag making and I'm really pleased how it turned out. I got the pleather from New Craft House over a year ago but...

Love the idea of bridging the gap between where you are now and the coat by sewing dresses that will teach you the skills you need!

Hi, ooh this is very exciting! I've never used an industrial machine so I'm afraid can't give any useful recomendations - but I've never heard of the Sunstar which might put me off a bit. I know Pfaff has a very good reputation. Can I ask what led...

Hi all :) I'm buying an industrial sewing machine, and I'm stuck on two. Would love to hear your opinions! My choices are between Pfaff 136 6/2bs and a Sunstar km-137a with a recently installed servo motor. Both are straight lockstitch and in...

It just came in my size so not nested and I got it printed A0 and it was tiny! I could tell straight away it was going to be nowhere near fitting. Quite bizarre!

I do! It's a Cashmerette pattern (the name I can't remember). It's going to be a lot of work. So my steps there will involve making more dresses with more 'involved making steps' I might even try to make a few more blouses and shirts.

Thanks Hayley. The fit on the body isn't great, but you can't really see from the pics as the fabric is dark. Anyway, good advice on the sleeves. I'll tackle it when I am feeling less 'meh'. I hope to see you on a social soon x

No, I used the apple front and the pear back (it will make sense when you lay it all out! ) You probably won't need to do that, but it shows how you can change the pattern to make it fit well.
