Tuesday 19th May No photo today as I'm beyond tired after a 5 1/2 mile walk in a very strong wind! I wore a me made top that you've seen before, me made socks but my trousers are purchased walking trousers - the horror!!

The shape of the top you want to make reminds me of a Qipao pattern. This might not be of any use to you, but here's a link to a video where they made a similar shaped outfit.

Definitely one of those belly friendly tops. When i sew it straight (without the ruffle) I typically do a split hem (is that what it is called?) so there is no pulling near the hips/waist but I still get the clean lines of a straight top.

Yes the one piece swimsuit is my favourite. It is one of the few one piece swimsuits that actually fits me. Also, the fabric with smiling whales makes me happy!
