This is my first dress and I made the Tilly and the Buttons Bettine dress in a jersey fabric instead of woven. I really like how it came out, but should I have shortened the bodice? I feel like it curves out on skirt a bit too low down, instead of on my hips. Although I like the length of it. I also turned the waistband up rather than down, so that the fabric didn't flop on top of it like in the pattern - I don't know if that made a difference.

The most useful sewing tool is my cutting table, made from IKEA Kallax units by my amazingly talented son

I store my patterns in folders, filed in numerical order. This refers to a lever arch file where I can flick through while having a cuppa and pondering my next make. Behind the pattern in the file is a notes page on each make.

Thank you.  Funny - I'm on my way home to cut out the Bonnie top - from the photos - out of my check fabric.  Husband wants me to do jobs - but I've said absolutely not - "I'm sewing" 😀
