Beccie the beauty of buying from the stitch festival is getting to try them out before making a decision.

I have only used this one. I think I would probably love any overlocker because they are a complete game changer.

Although my one frustration is that it struggles with bulky makes.

I can't wait to test drive them at the stitch festival in March. I've also booked on the overlocker workshop. I feel like overlocking is going to change my life 🤣🤣 Not to be dramatic or anything!!!!!

Hi everyone hope you all had a grand Christmas and are looking forward to a busy 2025 sew fest! I'm Penny in North Essex and am a relative newcomer to garment sewing - I am also a quilter. I have great plans for next year - first stop clearing the sewing space of all the boxes and rubbish stuffed in there to make the rest of the house look reasonable! But that will wait till twelfth night in the meantime some lovely sewing plans to dive into..... Thanks Hayley for creating this amazing site - am so looking forward to making sewing friends and expanding my sewing skills next year. Bye for now! 👋👋👋

I think I will to focus on half started projects and gifts - I'd like to make as many gifts as I can on 2025. I think this will help me stop losing my sewjo!

It doesn't have to be just clothes does it? I wanted to make a beanbag for my son and Christmas crackers this year but didn't get round to it.

Charl10 - 1 week ago

That's a great goal - perhaps one gift a month would be a good way to go?

Hi everyone,

Thank you Hayley for setting this up - such a great idea!
My name is Vicki and I live just outside of Bristol.
i used to sew with my nan as a child but then rediscovered my love for it in 2016 and haven't looked back!
I mostly prefer dressmaking, and my favourite fabric is a floaty, bright, floral viscose!
Really looking forward to getting to know everyone - hope you're all getting some time to sew over Christmas!

Yes the bright and floaty viscose, one of my favourites too! Great to have you here Vicki!

Hi,  I rediscovered sewing during Covid after a very long break. Im only 4ft 10 so have always struggled to find clothes the right length in the body and/or sleeves.    I try to sew sustainably, buying deadstock fabrics and habadashery from a sustainable source. I make clothes, bags, and homeware. Dor Mills
