Any tips on how to get going when you're in what seems like sewing paralysis. I have the desire to sew, all the tools and fabric and patterns but getting down to it is a problem. I love it when I do!

I would start with a small project, maybe one that you've sewn before an know what you're doing so that you are more likely to get a win rather than get discouraged by a tricky make

Ive just sorted my sewing room out & have sooo much fabric in my stash, enough for about 20 new garments this year! I will try not to buy anymore fabric this year! Anybody else have too much fabric (is there such a thing 😂) and not enough time 🤷🏻‍♀️

Absolutely. Recently moved house, and the fabric collection is bigger than I realised!

I'm making an effort to sew what I have at least for the time being.

I'm glad that this is not only a me problem 🤣. I do this with pattens too... I subscribed to a few pattern boxes hoping it would stop the urge to purchase fabric but alas it did not so I'm going to have to implement sother measures - any ideas welcome!

I cleared my room prior to Christmas too, and was eually shocked.

I realised last year that I don't actually like having a fabric stash, there's too much guilt involved. I'm on a mission to use as much as I can so won't be buying any more for the foreseeable, other than 1. fabric for a coat class I'm booked onto in late January and 2. my SHJ subscription box.

I have my daughter here at the moment, looking after her puppy (he moved in with us unexpectedly in November, part of the reason my sewing has taken a back seat). So far I've managed two tops, a  pair of pj's and two pinafore dresses, so I've made a fairt dent!

I decided to clean my sewing room out and I must admit I'm shocked at how much fabric I have. As I went through my stash I realised that I have quite a lot of fabric that I no longer love. I have made a promise to myself that apart from my SHJ subscription box I'm not buying any more fabric in 2025.
