Great thread!

Yes, I have been busy sewing up gifts this year. I have finished two quilts for family members, they have taken me a year to finish as once they get to binding stage everything slows down considerably!

I have also made a variety of lovely toiletry bags and makeup pouches (12 so far). I used the Bristol Pouch and Holland Pouch pattern by Centre Street Quilts which is super easy and a pretty quick make for any fat quarters and scraps you have lying around.

Hello Everyone!

This is sew awesome, having a great time catching up and reading everyones comments.

My name is Jade and I live in Kent, South East of UK. I have only been sewing since 2021 and garment making really since the begininng of this year. I also like to make quilts and cross stitching when time allows. I signed up to the subscription boxes early this year and am hooked!

I work full time and am also currently studying part time as a medical herbalist. So I try and fit in sewing where I can, which can be a challenge!

This looks amazing, I'm wearing mine right now! Don't wait until you have lost weight to sew clothes - each garment will teach you something and give you something beautiful to wear until you reach where you want to be. And then you can have fun sewing new clothes with everything you've learnt along the way. You deserve to sew and wear beautiful clothes at any size
